A Big Tick for BIG4 Holiday Parks
You can rest assured of the quality of your next stay at a BIG4 Holiday Park – now that they are eligible to proudly display the T-QUAL Tick.
T-QUAL Accreditation is the Australian Government’s quality benchmark for the tourism industry.
The Minister for Tourism, Martin Ferguson AM MP, said the T-QUAL Tick provides consumers with a recognisable, national symbol of quality that they can look for when planning their holidays.
“To maintain our reputation as a world-class tourism destination we need to ensure our domestic and international travellers know that where they stay, eat and visit is of the highest quality,” Minister Ferguson said.
“BIG4 Holiday Parks are an iconic Australian tourism company delivering Australian holidays to families for over 30 years. As a leader in the industry, BIG4 has transformed the humble caravan park into a modern holiday experience with a commitment to quality.
“I congratulate BIG4 Holiday Parks and the almost 13,000 other tourism businesses who have demonstrated their commitment to quality through the rigorous accreditation process and received the T-QUAL Tick.
“I encourage everyone to look for the T-QUAL tick when planning your Australian holidays.”
BIG4’s Holiday Parks will benefit from increased online exposure via preferential listing on state and national tourism websites, showcasing of their products on TripAdvisor Australia, and an endorsement that provides a competitive edge.
The T-QUAL Tick is just one of a number of ways to boost the quality and competitiveness of Australia’s tourism industry. TQUAL Grants – Quality Projects provide up to $110,000 for tourism projects that add value to local tourism industries.
The 2012 round of TQUAL Grants is currently open for applications until 19 April 2012.
