MANILA, Aug 7 (Mabuhay) — Actress Kim Chiu refused to wade in on the issue hounding her former boyfriend Gerald Anderson and Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.
Chiu said she is in no position to comment on the supposed falling out between Geronimo and Anderson. “Labas na ako doon. Sa kanilang dalawa na lang ‘yun. Kung ano man meron sa kanila, hindi na ako kasali doon,” she said.
It was earlier reported that Geronimoís parents personally talked to Anderson and told him that if he wants to court their daughter, it should only be done in their house.
Many speculated this was the reason Anderson stopped wooing Geronimo.
Geronimo, however, defended her parents saying her mom was not the reason Anderson stopped courting her.
During the same event, Anderson also chose not to talk about the issu, pointing out that the Star Magic Games is an event of celebration.
Meanwhile, Chiu expressed her delight now that her latest movie “The Healing” has earned P80 million in the first week.
“Siyempre masayang-masaya and siyempre Gov. Vi and Direk Chito Roño, combine mo ‘yon, syempre blockbuster movie na talaga siya,” she said.
Chiu added that in her six years of being an actress, this is her first project that was graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board.
“I’m happy and proud na kasali ako sa pelikulang ito and first Graded A movie ko ito sa buong six years ko sa pagiging artista,” she said.
Chiu is also proud to be part of the first movie ever to be allowed by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board to have two ratings (R-18 and R-13).
“‘Yung nakakapanood di lang puro R-18 at kahit ‘yung mga bata (gaya ng) high school (students) mapapanood nila ‘yung The Healing, (ang nakababatang) kapatid ko, pinsan ko napanood nila at ëyung ibang fans ko,” she said.
With only P20 million shy of reaching the P100 million mark, “The Healing” is poised to rank among Star Cinema’s “Unofficially Yours” and “Kimmy Dora: The Temple of Kiyeme” as the only local films to breach the achievement so far this year. (MNS)
