The Greening of PACC, Schofields
“Working together in harmony and cooperation expresses the goodness in our hearts and can be therapeutic” the chairman of the greening committee Mrs. Emma de Vera said.
The Philippine Australian Community Foundation (PACF), Inc. is launching its greening project: Greening Revolution – Sa Kabukiran.
The project will be in a 2.2 hectare premises of the Philippine Australian Cultural Centre (PACC).
The committee invites everyone to come and join in the launching and take part in the project. “Please note this is a work in progress. We count on everyone’s support. We welcome all suggestions” Mrs De Vera added.
At press time fifty tons of premium garden soil is needed to start with. Ten tons of which is already been pledged.
The outcome of this greening revolution is not envisioned “to supply a commercial quantity of produce for consumers but the exercise of our will through the ‘bayanihan’ principle that ‘together – we can’ do anything for our sake.” Mrs. de Vera continued.
Launching of this project is on August 25, 2012. It will be held at the PACC complex at 80 Grange Rd., Schofields.
A Filipino breakfast will be served and roast pork will follow at lunch time.
