Take a hike with Dad and explore Sydney Harbour

Enjoy a FREE Marine Festival at the Harbour Hike Finish Line on Father’s Day

Sydney, NSW —  After taking the spectacular foreshore paths of the lower north shore this Father’s Day, Sunday 2 September, on an 11km walk to raise vital funds for Sydney Harbour marine research, hikers and anyone who would like to join them can relax and enjoy the remainder of the day at a fun-filled free marine festival at Clifton Gardens Reserve, home of the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) and event finish line.

Kim McKay AO, Harbour Hike’s event director and SIMS Foundation board member said hikers very much enjoyed walking the Harbour foreshore paths and the bush track through Sydney Harbour National Park around Bradley’s Head in the event’s inaugural year last year.

“The weather was perfect, the walk was spectacular and there was a wonderful atmosphere at the finish line’s marine-themed festival featuring a sustainable seafood barbeque.

“Due to the success of Harbour Hike last year, and the popularity of the festival, we’ve made the festival bigger and better, and arranged more free ferries to transport hikers back to the start line after the festival,” Ms McKay said.
