Gary Valenciano, aka Mr. Pure Energy wowed his Perth audience.
From his early tweets, promises of an awesome night ahead as part of his Australia Tour 2014 in Perth, Gary Valenciano certainly delivered as promised.
Produced by the tandem of Arturo and Michael for Aussie Pinoy Productions, this Gary V. Australia Tour 2014 was groundbreaking in many ways.
This concert had the first Imported Filipino artist; in the person of Gary Valenciano, performed as the main act at the prestigious and charming Perth Concert Hall in Perth CBD.
It also was the first imported Pinoy celebrity that had a midweek (Wednesday Night) performance instead of the usual weekend schedules.
This tour was ground breaking in that it sold a VIP package together with a unique – “An Evening To Remember” dinner cum mini concert at the next door five star rated-Duxton Hotel, on a separate date; the night before the concert, on a Tuesday night.
The Two nights showcased two different sets of local talents in Western Australia as front acts.
The Duxton Hotel Dinner show had Rowena Maullon, Mary Villareal, Glenn Sequitin, Justin Benardos, Maurice Marcelo, Josh Abenoj and Faith Rico.
The Set of Front Acts at the Perth Concert Hall were; Hip Hop Australia champion 2014- The Society, Para Isidro, Febrey Lee Reyes, Meagan Reyes, Maurice Marcelo and Faith Rico.
Gary opened the main show with an energetic, pumping rendition of his 70’s hit song, “Di Bale Na Lang”, and immediately held the near 900 audience captivated throughout the entire 90-minute show.
He had his eldest son, Paolo as his special guest, and made the crowd swooned during their Father and Son duet of Beatles Medley.
Lighting and sounds were exceptional under the direct supervision of Filipino crew flown to Australia as part of the entourage.
Amongst the highlights of the concert were the TeleSerye Medley, or as Gary V called it, dramatic medley with songs such as “Sana Maulit Muli”, “Hanggang sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan”, “Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin”, “Yesterday” by Jazz genius-Al Jarraeu, “How Did You know” with his Inspirational songs such as “Take Me Out Of the Dark” proving a big hit to the mostly Pinoy audience, and of course the bouncy show stopper – “Hataw Na!” got the audience to their feet.
Gary was visibly touched by the warm reception from the Perth audience, and promised to return ASAP (pun intended!)
So Mr. Gary Valenciano, Perth eagerly awaits your return!
