The internationally acclaimed and multi awarded Bayanihan, the national dance company of the Philippines, will entertain guests at the Philippine National Day gala celebration on June 11 at the Grand Pavillion, Rosehill Gardens Event Centre, Rosehill.
“Showcasing the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage through spectacular coordinated rhymths and stunning costumes, the Bayanihan performance is not to be missed” Philippine Community Council of NSW (PCC-NSW) President Kate Andres said.
PCC-NSW has organised the annual Philippine National Day Ball since 1999 in coordination with the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney. This year, the event will celebrate not only the 118th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence but also the 70th anniversary of Philippines-Australia Diplomatic Relations.
The Bayanihan performance in these milestone celebrations is made possible by Consul General Anne Jalando-on Louis with the support of Department of Tourism and Philippine Airlines. To further show off the Filipino brilliance in music, PCC-NSW has invited Filipino- Australian 2015 and 2014 X-Factor winners Cyrus Villanueva and Marlisa Punzalan to perform at the event.
