Miss Philippines-Australia presentation night
Filipino –Australian and multicultural spectators are anticipating for the staging of the 2016 Miss Philippines Australia pageant together with all the festivities prepared by The Philippine Australian Sports and Culture (PASC) Inc. for Fiesta Kultura 2016.
This year’s PASC Fiesta Kultura and Miss Philippines Australia BeautyPageant also mark the 70th year anniversary of the Philippines Australia diplomatic relations. An array of merriments like international & Filipino food festival, Pinoy international & local talents, Cultural dance performances, Philippines trade and tourism expo and community services stalls will be in place come 3rd October long weekend at the Fairfield Showground, 443 Smithfield Road Prairiewood 2176.
Prior to the 2016 Fiesta Kultura event, An Evening with Honour for the Miss Philippines Australia candidates is scheduled on August 20, 6:30pm at Waratah Room Rooty Hill RSL, 55 Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill. A press conference will also be held between 1:00-3:00pm on the same day at the same venue.
Celebrating 70 Philippines Australia will highlight the bilateral relations between the two countries and PASC in recognition for exceptional and outstanding services rendered in the field of foreign affairs, trade and tourism will acknowledge the achievements of the diplomats in the various categories.
Ten (10) talented, young and beautiful Filipino-Australian ladies from NSW and Victoria are vying for the Miss Philippines Australia and Miss Charity Queen 2016. These beauties will be presented at the evening of honour gala with three course dinner, entertainment, fashion and dancing.
About 250 guests are expected to attend including the families and supporters of these beautiful candidates.
Special guests will include Philippine Ambassador Minda Calaguian Cruz, Consul General Anne Jalandoon-Louis, Mayor Stephen Bali,Ray Johns Rooty Hill RSL Chairman, community leaders and other dignitaries.
There will be an induction of the 2016 PASC Governing Board under the leadership of Atty. Lolita Farmer, OAM and 2016 Community Builders Hall of Fame Awardee with special awards presentation.
The event honours the Filipino-Australian community in partnership with the NSW Government’s commitment to a cohesive and inclusive society in which cultures, languages and religions of all citizens are accepted and appreciated.
